He [God] is very patient with us when we are trying to be patient with Him."
~ Elisabeth Elliott ~
As I was contemplating this quote I visited a friend’s blog and my thoughts began to boil over. According to The Merriam-Webster Dictionary one of the definitions for patient is steadfast, persevering. I see God as the most steadfast and persevering individual I know, but I see myself as just the opposite I pace the floor when I should sit and be calm and wait for the answer for the pray prayed. I look at the clock and calendar and think why Lord have you not answered the pray.
I just got a picture in my minds eye of the Lord smiling as He sits on His throne and says if He can be patient with me I need and should and have to learn and have to try daily to be patient with Him. My time by the clock and the calendar is not God’s time
Learning to go to my quite place is a lesson in patients. My quite place is my bedroom on the bed, or under the covers in bed, or pacing the floor as I talk, cry, pray, and try to be steadfast. I believe the quote God is very patient with me as I am learning to be patient with Him.

Interesting thoughts!
Hi Joyce,
Your post for today ties in with my morning devotion from the book "Streams In The Desert". Part of it says "This is our truble in regard to our Christian life; we want to do something to be Christians when we need to let Him work in us". Be still and know that I am God.
Rom 5:3 And not only [so], but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
Rom 5:4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
I used to pray for patience when I was first born again.... I was a very impatient person ...... then my cousin opened her bible and pointed out to me this scripture....... I quit praying for patience right then.......... but I was too late......... God for the remained of that year and several years after that taught me patience............. It is a good thing to have but the method of acquiring was a bit rough ...... I can laugh now but in the midst it was no laughing matter.......... I love the message in your post today............ I think that the Lord is out and about and He is giving each of us a new vision.................
Good Early Morning Joyce,
This is such a great and wonderful post. It is so hard sometimes to wait for GOD'S time. We always want it in our time. Deep down, we know that's not right. I have put up a post for today. It has been a stormy day and night around here. Hope the weather is better in your area. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.
Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
