Good day to all. I love all of you and I would hope that you would leave a small message with a comment on what you think of what I had to say. I liked this picture because it brought thoughts of Spring. I know it will be here before I know it.

I feel like this today. I am glad a cousin of mine sent it to me by an e-mail. I have read different ways this has been put. What a joy it is to be over 60 and still able to laugh at myself. All of you have a great day.


My 9 Boyfriends!

I am seeing 9 gentlemen every day. As soon as I wake up, Will Power helps me get out of bed.

Then I go to see John.

Then Charlie Horse comes along & when he is here, he takes a lot of my time & attention.

When he leaves, Arthur Ritis shows up & stays the rest of the day. He doesn't like to stay in one place very long, so he takes me from joint to joint.

After such a busy day, I'm really tired & glad to go to bed with Ben Gay. What a life! Oh, Yes, I'm flirting with Al Zymer.

And thinking of calling BUD WEISER , JACK DANIELS or JOHNNY WALKER to come and keep me company.
Now remember:
Life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes...so have fun think 'good thoughts' only, learn to laugh at yourself, and count your blessings!!

BEAUTIFUL CHRISTIAN SISTER

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'

When I say 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

When I say 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect.
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.

When I say 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain..
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

I'm just a simple sinner who received God's good grace, somehow!

This is frim a friend in an e-mail. What do you say when someone ask you "Are you a Christian"?

I hope this will give you a good laugh or at least a smile. When I received this from a cousin I knew I would share it with you. The United States has experienced a winter like no other. I understand from Hubby that all 50 States received snow of some sort. As for me, I cannot wait for no snow, warmer weather and sun shine.

Customer Service --- Computer Repair

Caller : Hi, our printer is not working.
Customer Service: What is wrong with it?
Caller : Mouse is jammed.
Customer Service: Mouse? Printers don't have a mouse!!!

Caller: Mmmmm??.. Oh really?... I will send a picture.

Snow Day

I sit here looking out my front room window looking at the snow that covers the brown grass of fall. I understand that every state in the continental U.S. has had snow. The only state being Hawaii. So this past Sunday our bulletin talks about snow days. I want to share what a person had to say concerning how we can relinquish control because of heavy snos fall.

SNOW DAY!
Heavy snow has a way of forcing us to relinquish control. Normal agendas cease as extreme conditions ensue. Our response to setbacks--weather-related or otherwise--often painfully reveals our desire to be in control. Does our blood pressure rise with frustration? Do we feel helpless and angry? Perhaps God is giving us an opportunity to put our trust in Him. We can relax in the knowledge 'that all things work together for good to them that love God' (Romans 8:28). Then we can enjoy our "snow days," submitting ourselves to God's sovereignty and resting in the knowledge that He knows what's best. Next time an agenda is upended, consider the plans God may have for you. They may be better than the ones you make yourself.

My blood preassure does rise and I become very frustrated that I can't be the one who handles my control over any agenda of mine. Getting angry is my middle name at times expecially when someone or something makes me helpless in handlly the situation.

OUR LIFE IS LIVING PROOF !!!!

To Those of Us Born 1930 - 1979

TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED THE 1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's!!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and or drank while they were pregnant.
They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can and didn't get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered
with bright colored lead-base paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, locks on doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had baseball caps not helmets on our heads..

As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, no booster seats, no seat belts, no air bags, bald tires and sometimes no brakes.
Riding in the back of a pick- up truck on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle.
We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and no one actually died from this.
We ate cupcakes made with Lard, white bread, real butter and bacon. We drank FLAV-OR- AID made with real white sugar.
And, we weren't overweight. WHY? Because we were always outside playing....that's why!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on..
No one was able to reach us all day. And, we were OKAY.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride them down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem

We did not have Play stations, Nintendo' s and X-boxes. There were no video games, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound or CD's, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet and no chat rooms.

WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents.
We would get spankings with wooden spoons, switches, ping pong paddles, or just a bare hand and no one would call child services to report abuse.
We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.
We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.
We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them. League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment.

Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever. The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas. What can kids today do besides push buttons.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all. If YOU are one of them, CONGRATULATIONS!
You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives for our own good(?).

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it?
