This and That Wednesday

I receive this Blessing Award from Karen of Karen Korners and this is how this award is to be passed on to bless others.
The blessing is as follows:The idea…it’s a game of tag with a difference, rather than looking inwardly, we look outside ourselves and bless, praise and pray for 3 blog friends. By participating in this endeavour we not only make the recipient of the blessing feel valued and appreciated, but we are having some fun too. We’re going to see how far the bloggin’ blessings can travel around the world and how many people can be blessed! Recipients of a bloggin’ blessing may upload the above image to their sidebar if they choose to. If you receive a bloggin’ blessin’ please leave a comment on this thread here so that we can rejoice in just how many blessings have been sent around the world.

I would like to pass the blessings on to
1. Betty from This & That
2. Heather from Heather's Brain
3. Denise from Samaritan Women

Now for a praise I have concerning the weather we experienced yesterday evening. At 6:00 PM the temperature was 49 with rain. Hubby and I attended a High School Girls basketball game. Sorry to say both teams lost by a narrow margin. We walked out of the School at 9:15 PM to 10 degrees with snow blowing straight out of the west, with wind gusts at 46 MPH. I started for the car and had the sensation of my feet coming off the ground. My Hubby was in front of me so He could get to the car and get my door open for me. We made it and the car started. Praise the Lord. It took 5 min for the front window to defrost so we could see out of it and what we saw was snow and a little patch of black on the ground. We realized that there was a van in front of us so we could get to the highway in front of the school so we could get back to town. This was the very first time I have had the sensation we were the only ones in a little world of snow and our cars head lights. We live 8 min. from the school and last night it took us 30 min. to get home. The wind was so strong that God must have had his hands on top of the car to keep it on the road and in the right lane. We stopped in town and realized there were 10 cars behind us. They passed and we continued to our house. I am praising the Lord that I got the door open. We woke this morning to -6 with a wind chill of -20 and wind gusts at 40 MPR. Now it us 7 with a wind chill of -5 and the wind is dying down. The sun is shining and I am toasty and warm praising the Lord that we did not loss our electricity and we do not have feet of snow on the ground.

Good Afternoon Joyce,
"CONGRATULATION'S" on a very well deserved Award. You truly are a blessing and everytime I visit you, I receive a blessing. "CONGRATULATION'S" to Denise for winning the T-Shirt from your Daughter's contest. I know she is going to enjoy it. Wow, that is cold there. I thought it was cold here, but ours is nothing compared to yours. "PRAISE GOD" yall made it home safely. GOD'S HANDS was surely on your car and watching over you both. It is much safer to take it slower than try to get in a hurry. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

That darn weather can change in a hurry! Did the other team get home ok....and how far did they have to travel?

The wind was blowing here like crazy yesterday too and made it miserable doing chores! It was a little calmer today.

We keep our house very very cold at night.I am thinking that it might get down into the upper
50's..Moses the love bird has an elec blanket thrown over his cage and put on med temp...It keeps his cage toasty warm while we enjoy the cool house.... same with Zeke the Schnauzer.. He has a heating pad in the liner of his bed.. we turn it on at night to med. temp and he stays toasty warm. hahahha and there you have it..

I feel for you. The weather last night was just awful. Praise the Lord is right! We made it through unscathed as well. We are only 8 miles from Martinsville where the court house lost it's roof and 4000 people were without power. We are blessed!
