Good day to all. Yesterday was one of those days that just flew by. Went with hubby to exchange parts and order the right ones for a tractor and a skid loader. Then left early for a boys basketball game that was 45 minutes away to check out how good the road were. They won a well fought game. The road were a little slick from blowing snow so the travel home was not speedy. The school made a wonderful program with stats and information on both teams. In the program was a note on how we as fans should behave at sporting events. I want to share it with you since some of you have children playing in sports and some are fans that go to cheer on the team. As I was listening to our fans I became upset with some of the words being yelled. So enjoy and learn.
THAT'S MY KID
Please don't curse that kid down there,
their my kid, you see.
I did not raise my kid, dear fan, for you to call
names, my kid may not be a superstar, but
these are High School games.
So please don't curse those kids in there, they
do the best they can.
they never try to lose a game, they're kids and
you're just a fan, the game belongs to them.
You see, you're really just a guest.
They do not need a fan that gripes, they need
the very best. If you have nothing nice to say,
please leave the kids alone. If you forgot your
manners, then please just stay at home. So
cheer for those kids in there, each one's a
parent's kid.

Hi Joyce and thanks for visiting me today. The comment you left about your pile of papers made me feel better. You know the saying - misery loves company!!
I loved the poem written about the kids who are participating in games whether it be football, basketball, or whatever. This is something I wish everyone would try to remember when things are not going their way on the playing field. I have two grandsons who are active in sports, and it hurts me to think anyone would call either of them names. The two are brothers, and it hurts me for them to call each other names. That's just not good.
I hope you will visit me again soon, and I will be back to visit you.

BE A POSITIVE INFLUENCE-ENCOURAGE KIDS!!! Boy do I agree with that!! I find it a shame that parents have to be reminded to behave and have sportsmanship at any school event. A sign of the times I guess. I am amazed that you still have so much snow up there...we have none. Have a great evening!....(((hugs)))
Good Evening Joyce,
We are just getting back home and eating some Frozen foods that I heated up for supper. It was quick and easy. LOL. I love the Poem you posted. That is so true. I have one that plays Pee-Wee Basketball and at a couple of her games, I wish I had had that poem to read to the audience. "THANK YOU" for sharing that with us. I may have to write it down and maybe read it at the Homecoming Games and activities next Saturday. Would that be okay with you? I think every parent should listen or read this. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.
