Lately I have been thinking how did they decide that the Friday before Easter was good. Jesus had died on a cross a very cruel death. His Mother, Mary, watched the events of her Son trial, conviction of death by the crowd, and His death on a cross and could not do a thing to save His life. How can the day be called Good Friday? We know what happens after that. We have been given accounts of the events from four different men. Each one a friend and follower of Jesus. That is how I know it became a Good Friday.

Very good point.
Touche'.
I’ve often asked myself this question too … and come to a similar understanding. The day took on additional meaning for me when my mom died at about 3:00 in the afternoon on ‘Good Friday’ in 1989 …
Hugs and blessings,
