Another weekend of girls and boys basketball. Friday night was an exciting evening with the boys winning their next to the last game for the season before tourment time. Saturday morning we traveled about a hour for Regional games to see our girls play in the first game of the morning at 10:30 AM. Though they played a well fought game they lost the game. I was so proud of them as they left the floor with the heads up.
Hubby and I stayed for the second game where a Christian School from Fort Wayne,IN upset the No. 1 team who had been unbeaten for 46 games in our region. The game was exciting and well fought by both teams.
Then at 8:30 PM the team that beat our girls and the Christian School played their hearts out to the final busser. The Christian School won and upset the No. 2 school in our region. During the last minute a girl from the Christian School was serious hurt and after half an hour was taken off the floor with her head banaged. At this time we do not know how she is so my pray is that everything is alright and she will be able to play next Saturday in the Semi State
I love reading the messages on T-Shirts and I saw one at the basketball game that has a good meaning on what makes a champion.
"Champions aren't made in the gyms,
Champions are made from sonething they
Have deep inside them
1. A Dream
2. A Desire
3. A Vision"

A Thoughtful Valentines Day Thursday

As you see from the card above the candy in the picture is my most favorite candy and Valentines Day is my most favorite holiday. Love is in the air on this day and cards, candy, flowers, and many other thoughts are given on this one day of the year.
In the book of Mark Jesus is asked a question by a scribe and the question he asked was "Which is the first commandment of all?" and in Mark 12: 29-31 "Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And Thou shalt Love The Lord Thy God With All Thy Heart, And With All Thy Soul, And With All Thy Mind, And With All Thy Strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou Shalt Love Thy Neightbour As Thyself. There is nome other commandment greater than these." (KJ)
I want to talk about loving your neighbor and that includes the children. On Monday and Tuesday I met two children who I beieved are not loved by family members. The fisrt child I met was being called mean by a fellow classmate. I saw a sad face wanting to say I am not mean, but did not know how to say it. I heard the exchange and came up to the two of them and wanted to know why it was thought the one child was mean. I said I believe there are no mean children. The child being called mean put their arms around my waist and gave me a silent thank you. Then in another class I met the second child who is a child who is on medicaation for AHDD or one of those type of problems. This child does not like touch. I spent special time with this child to let them know that someone cared. Maybe you know a child who would love someone tell them they are special and loved.

Happy Valentines Day

I would like to wish you a very Happy Valentines Day. I pray you all receive a little bit of the love that this day means. My Hubby treated me to a two day trip to Louisville, Kentucky. We attended the largest Farm Machinary Show in the United States. This show begins on Wednesday and ends Saturday afternoon. A night in a nice motel room is what I call a Very Happy Valentines Day.

Also, I want to give you a large vase of roses. Enjoy and have a great day with some one you love.

Part Two
Here is part two of subing for a Music teacher. Day two was easier since different classes, but the same lessons. In our school district there are at least 3 classes for each 5 grades. The two 1st grade classes was to teach them how thunder storms could be played with drums and wood instuments. The two 2nd grade classes was to teach them about the differences of pitched and un-pitched insturments. I passed out drums maracus, wood blocks, and trangles. They listened to a song that taught them how to play these insturments together. They did a very good job putting them all together to make music. The 4th and 5th grade classes are working on a Spring program and they worked on three songs that will be used. The two songs are Foot Loose and The Boogie Woodgie Bulguler(mis-spelled) Boy. I told them I would be at the program to see them in the final product. I can not wait.

Weekend of Basketball

Hello all, what a weekend. Saturday was a busy day of travel from one game to another. In the early afternoon Hubby and I traveled about an hour to watch a boys game. The other team was taller than anyone on our team. Our boys stayed with them and did a wonderful job and only lost by 12 points. The way the game started out it could have been a blow out. The boy played their hearts out and 3 hours later they attended the girls sectional finals to cheer the girls on.
Hubby and I did some shoping and made it home for an hour of rest then on to the girls game. The gym rocked with cherring fans from both schools and the boys were in rare form of dress and cheered the girls on to a victory. The girls play a well fought battle with minor cuts to win by 10 points. Next Saturday we travel to the Regional games and they will be played at the High School of the girls we beat.

WOW

Good morning, what a night of basketball last night. Our High School girls are playing in a Sectional. There are 6 teams in our section and our girls played last night and won after 2 overtimes. The game before was just as exciting. This morning I can not talk and I am soaking my hands in warm water. Tonight the girls will play for the Sectional title. They have a chance to win, but will have to play their hearts out.
This morning the High School boys will be playing a make up game about an hour from home so Hubby and I will have a busy day and evening.
I pray for all of your boys and girls who play basketball at the tourment time that they will play their best and have fun doing it.
