Friendship

A simple friend, when visiting, acts like a guest.
A real friend opens your refrigerator and helps himself (and doesn't feel even the least bit weird shutting your ' coke/Pepsi drawer' with her foot!)

A simple friend has never seen you cry.
A real friend has shoulders soggy from your tears..

A simple friend doesn't know your parents' first names.
A real friend has their phone numbers in their address book.

A simple friend brings a bottle of wine to your party.
A real friend comes early to help you cook and stays late to help you clean.

A simple friend hates it when you call after they've gone to bed.
A real friend asks you why you took so long to call.

A simple friend seeks to talk with you about your problems.
A real friend seeks to help you with your problems.

A simple friend wonders about your romantic history.
A real friend could blackmail you with it.

A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument.
A real friend calls you after you had a fight.

A simple friend expects you to always be there for them.
A real friend expects to always be there for you!

We all can think of friends who are just simple friends and we can Praise The Lord for those real friends. I for one is going to work to make my simple friends real friends.

Lovely post and so very true too. I am blessed with many real friends, I learned long ago to weed my garden of friends! Sometimes getting rid of the weeds helps the real flowers to blossom! Have a great day! HUGS!

Good Morning Joyce,
I really enjoyed this post and it is so very true. I have made some really nice friends here in blogland myself and you are one of them. "THANK YOU" for the nice E-Card you sent me and I sent you one back this morning. I have just been so busy lately with the girls and then my DH made it home around 4:40a.m. Thursday morning. We had our oldest daughter's Birthday Party on Saturday. They both had ballgames Thursday night. I did put up a new post this morning and some pictures as well. I am out visiting a bit now. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
