Up Date

Hello All, sorry it has been a while since I have posted about me. Here it is the end of the year and for me it has been eventful. The past month has been an eye opening experience. On my birthday I thought I had a very bad cold. I went to my Doctor and He wanted some tests done on December 12th. One was an Echo test and the other was an EKG. The ex-ray tech saw something on the EKG and the next thing I new I was in the ER with all kinds of wires hooked up. I know that God was with me because there was a Heart Doctor in the building. What has happened is that my heart rate is out of rhythm. On January 15, 2009 they are going to shock my heart back into rhythm. Then they are going to find out what else was discovered on the Echo test.

Please pray for me that I can keep my eyes of the Lord and have the faith that all will come out like the Lord wants. Thank you all and please have a great New Years.

Was just looking through some blogs listed on the Just Another Grateful Gal blogroll, and after reading your last entry, wanted to leave a comment, and perhaps add you to my blogroll, so I can come back and check on you.

My heart and prayers go out to you. I have walked in your shoes and I think I know some of the emotions you might be feeling right now. My mom died suddenly December 2003. 3 weeks later, I went to the doctor for a routine appointment, and they sent me to the ER for the same as you -- my heart being out of rhythm. Shocking it was one of my options, but because of the death of my mom just 3 weeks prior, I was too emotionally raw to allow them to do it. So. some 4 years later, I am still taking Coumadin and Metroprol, and my heart is still out of rhythm, but its just something I know I can and do live with.

They did diagnois me with severe sleep apnea and think the two are connected. I sleep nightly with a CPAP machine, and there are good days where I am in rhythm.

Hang in there. I know its scary, but you will get through just fine:) And yes, God is there, holding our hands through this. Of that, I am sure:)

Joyce, I know how scary that is because I went through the same thing. The way they found mine was when I fainted. So happened I had a follow-up appointment with my primary doctor the next day. She did an EKR and an Echo. Yes, my heart was out of rhythm, and they had to short mine back into rhythm. I haven't had any trouble since and that was over a year ago.

You are in my prayers. Blessings to you, Joyce.
